General questions

Do your sewing patterns include seam allowances?

Yes, our patterns include a 1 cm seam allowance unless otherwise stated. Please check the pattern pieces for exact information on seam allowances and hems.

What does advance booking mean?

When reprinting or launching new products such as sewing patterns, we give you the opportunity to pre-order your products. This means that you reserve a product while it is being produced. When pre-ordering, we always print an approximate date when we expect the product to come into stock on the product in question. So if you are unsure, you can always check the product you have purchased and what it says there. When launching a new sewing pattern, the product is usually in stock 2-3 weeks after the pattern release.

Can I resell my Kokodoko patterns once I'm done with them?

If you have purchased a physical pattern, you are free to resell the complete pattern on the secondary market. However, if you have purchased a digital PDF pattern, you are not allowed to sell, copy or share the pattern with others.

Can I sell garments/products that I have sewn based on Kokodoko's patterns?

Yes, you are welcome to sell garments that you have sewn yourself using Kokodoko's patterns in a small-scale production, where you sew the clothes yourself. However, it is not permitted to hand over patterns to another party, natural or legal person, who manufactures garments for you.

Can I organize workshops with sewing patterns from Kokodoko?

As a company, you are welcome to organize workshops that include our sewing patterns, however, this requires that each participant has purchased a pattern previously or that the participant purchases their own pattern. If you as a company are interested in organizing workshops, you can purchase patterns at retail prices.

What is the difference between digital patterns (PDF) and printed patterns?

PDF patterns are digital products that are delivered directly to your inbox automatically after purchase. You will receive an email with the subject line DELIVERY where you can download your sewing pattern using a download link that you can then print on your own printer at home. The PDF pattern includes a print file (A4 size), a projector file of the pattern and a digital sewing guide.

The printed pattern is a physical product that will be sent to you. It includes a stylish folder, a sewing guide, and the pattern sheet itself.

Digital PDF patterns

If I have purchased a digital pattern (PDF) but realize it is not for me, can I return it?

No, there is no right of withdrawal on our digital patterns (PDF) as you cannot "return" the product. It doesn't matter if you haven't downloaded the pattern, you will still have your product delivered automatically upon purchase.

The download link to the digital pattern (PDF) is not working, how do I get my pattern?

Contact me at kokodokodesign@gmail.com and describe your problem, what browser and device you are using. Also include your order number and we will solve it.

Are there size layers in digital patterns (PDF)?

Yes, size layers are available on both the print file and the projector file that can be clicked in and out. However, you need a PDF reader that supports layer management, such as Adobe Acrobat .

The digital pattern (PDF) does not print at the correct size because the control box is too small, what do I do?

A common problem when the printer does not print the correct size even though you have selected 100%/no scaling in the print settings is that the printer drivers are not installed. To make this work, the printer drivers need to be installed.
