Kokodoko Design AB is approved for F-Tax and holds a VAT registration number.

Copyright

All patterns and associated descriptions are protected by copyright. This means that the patterns may only be used for personal use. It is not permitted to:

  • Copy, share or distribute the patterns digitally or in printed form.
  • No part of the pattern or description may be copied or distributed without written permission from Kokodoko Design AB.
  • Change the pattern and then resell or distribute them under your own name.

You are of course welcome to sew for yourself or as a gift for others – and it's great fun if you want to share your creations on social media! Remember to refer to the origin of the pattern, for example by tagging @kokodokodesign or linking to the website.

Thank you for respecting the creative work behind the patterns!

License for schools

If you want to use our sewing patterns in school teaching, the school needs to purchase the printed pattern at the same price as private individuals. However, the school must stand behind the purchase. You may not purchase as a private individual and take the pattern with you to your school to conduct teaching. The sewing pattern may not leave the school premises. It is permitted to make copies of the pattern description; but these must also remain within the school premises. The pattern sheet may not be copied.

We also ask that you email us and tell us how you plan to use the patterns in your teaching.

Organize workshops

As a retailer, you have the right to organize workshops with sewing patterns from us, but these conditions apply:

  • You purchase the pattern from us - of course at the retailer price.

  • Each participant must own their own copy of the pattern; prove that they have purchased it beforehand or purchase it on site before the workshop takes place.

  • The pattern or sewing instructions may not be copied or distributed to participants or others. Each pattern is personal.

Prices & shipping

All prices are stated in your own currency including 6% VAT for sewing patterns and 25% VAT for other products. In the event of any price changes in the online store, the price that is current at the time of your order applies. We reserve the right to sell out items and will notify you as a customer if this happens.

When purchasing digital patterns (PDF) there is free shipping. For other products the shipping cost within Sweden is 39 SEK. When ordering for more than 499 SEK there is free shipping (within Sweden). The shipping cost to other countries is stated at checkout.

Payment

You can pay with card, Paypal or Klarna, using the payment options they offer; direct payment or payment against invoice.

Delivery time & delivery method

Normally, goods are shipped every Tuesday and Thursday, after payment has been received. During periods of high order pressure, such as pre-orders, products are shipped daily until all orders are shipped; but expect slightly longer delivery times.

The vast majority of orders are shipped with DHL. You will receive a tracking ID when your order is ready to be shipped. You as the recipient will then have the opportunity to pick it up from your nearest representative.

When purchasing small products, we ship through Postnord (PO box not trackable). We have a unit shipping rate regardless of order size.

Digital patterns (PDF) are delivered instantly – you’ll get access to the files right at checkout and via email. Just download and start sewing.

Pre-ordering products

When launching or reprinting printed sewing patterns, you have the opportunity to pre-order your product. Pre-ordering means that you can reserve a product while it is being produced. Should the date be delayed for any reason, we will contact all affected customers with more information. When launching sewing patterns, the delivery time is usually 2-3 weeks after the pattern has been released. If more products are ordered in the same order, everything will be shipped when the pre-ordered product is in stock.

Once the product is in stock, we do our absolute best to ensure everyone gets their orders as quickly as possible. We always pack all orders in order.

Transport

If upon receipt you discover that the shipment has been damaged in transit, you must immediately report this to the agent. If they do not accept responsibility for the damage, you must contact us.

Right of withdrawal & return

When purchasing digital patterns (PDF)

Due to the nature of the digital product, there is no right of withdrawal for PDF patterns. Delivery takes place directly in connection with the purchase, and according to the Distance Contracts Act, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content that is delivered immediately and where the buyer has consented to this.

Physical products

As a customer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. The withdrawal period begins on the day you receive the item. You are required to keep the item in the same condition as when you received it. You may not use it or cut the pattern sheets, but of course carefully examine it.

When exercising your right of withdrawal, please notify me at kokodokodesign@gmail.com. Your message must clearly state your order number, name, address and email address. The items you wish to return must also be stated in your email.

You should have returned the product(s) within the statutory period, 14 days after the cancellation notice is sent. You are responsible for return shipping and the product must be as well packaged as when we sent the item to you.

We reserve the right to deduct the correct amount corresponding to the decrease in value compared to the original value of the item in the event of a used or damaged product.

Unclaimed package

We reserve the right to charge you for the handling costs that arise if you do not collect delivered products on time (return shipping and handling fee). We therefore charge a fee of 129 SEK if the package is not collected. The shipment remains with the DHL agent for 7 days before it is returned to us. The remaining amount is refunded.

Complaints

We always check all products before they are sent to you. If the product nevertheless turns out to be damaged or incorrectly dispatched when it arrives, we undertake, in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation, to rectify the fault free of charge. You must always contact us for approval before returning a defective item.

The complaint must be sent immediately when the defect is discovered.
